Local Program Receives Customer Service Award
The Career Paths to Success program received the 1st Place Specialized Customer Service Group Award from the Central-Mohawk Valley Subchapter of the International Association of Workforce Professionals (IAWP) in a ceremony held at CNY Works on August 16, 2006. The award was presented by Onondaga County Executive Nicholas J. Pirro and IAWP Subchapter President Julie Goodison.
Career Paths to Success, developed in conjunction with the Onondaga County Executives Office, OCC, JOBSPlus, the City of Syracuse, and CNY Works, helps introduce "at-risk" students to college course study. The students earn college credits and a stipend through the program, and also explore career opportunities.
